Webinar: The State of Technology for Self-Directed Custodians

A client is made in three completions, not one: the application that actually gets finished, the funding that actually lands, and the first asset that actually gets purchased. This session walks those three steps and looks at what technology can now do at each one: identity verification that keeps working after on-boarding, AI document handling that ends the reject-and-resubmit loop, and money movement that is fast for verified clients and deliberately slow for everyone else. Every step carries two opposite risks at the same time, because friction loses the client you wanted and weak controls admit the one you did not. The emphasis throughout is on small, low-effort changes that give staff hours back. Vendor-neutral, no product demonstrations, no engineering background required.

1. Identify which of the three steps their own operation loses clients at, and whether the cause is friction or control.
2. Describe what an identity verification stack actually checks, and why a deceased or synthetic applicant can still pass one.
3. Break time-to-funding into the waiting states that actually control it, and match an intervention to each.
4. Evaluate an AI document processing proposal on straight-through rate, exception rate and cycle time rather than on a feature list.
