Athanor is building the exchange for secondary precious metal IRA bullion. We exist to solve the liquidity problem that has defined this industry for decades, while eliminating the compliance burden custodians absorb on every dealer transaction.
Today, billions in physical bullion sit in vaults tied to self-directed IRA accounts with no efficient way to be bought or sold. When a dealer attempts to liquidate, they call 2-3 wholesalers, wait 24-48 hours for quotes, navigate 5-7% spreads, and ultimately absorb 20-30 days of settlement time. Custodians bear the downstream burden: NIGOs, manual direction orders, compliance exposure, and frustrated clients.
